After 4 years of service in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era I spent the next 25 years going to sea in the Merchant Marine. During that time earned a degree in Biological Science from the University of Minnesota. Worked as a graduate research assistant while sailing onboard a research vessel in Antarctica.
I had always been intrigued by the law and took the bold step of beginning law school the year I turned 50. Working as a paralegal during school prepared me for the reality of the practice of law that is a rude awakening for many newly graduated lawyers. Now that I am a practicing plaintiff’s attorney in the State of California, my years of experience are a benefit to my clients. My unique perspective gives me the ability to look at issues from all sides; the legal and the practical. As a consummate pragmatist I appreciate the stress of having to seek legal services for any matter, size makes no difference. All my clients receive the same level of attention I have always devoted to any endeavor; crossing the open ocean in a storm or attending law school as the oldest member of my class.
